– After the match, the “yes!” chant starts up as Bryan’s music hits. We go to replays. Bryan is still face-down on the mat as fans cheer him on. The Elimination Chamber structure is raised above the ring as we go to more replays

WWE Universal Title Match: Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns

The music hits as WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns comes out with Paul Heyman. Fans are booing loudly. Daniel Bryan is still trying to get to his feet.

The bell rings as Reigns enters and Bryan tells the referee he’s ready. Reigns immediately charges with a Spear but Bryan gets the Yes Lock applied. Reigns finally breaks it and mounts Bryan with big right hands in the middle of the ring. Reigns powers up and slams Bryan in the middle of the ring, then pounds on him some more. Fans chant “you suck!” for a second time at Reigns.

Reigns applies the Guillotine submission on Bryan and the referee quickly calls the match as Bryan fades out.

Winner: Roman Reigns

– After the match, Reigns stands tall with the title as his music its. Fans boo. Bryan is still face-down as we go to replays. Reigns stands tall until WWE Hall of Famer Edge appears out of nowhere and lays him out with a big Spear. Fans go wild as Edge stands tall. Edge points up at the WrestleMania 37 sign and has made his choice for his opponent. The pyro goes off as fans pop for Edge. Reigns looks on and he’s not happy.

Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Universal Title: Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

At WWE Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in a Last Man Standing Match. This bout marked the third time Owens has challenged Reigns for the title. The match started as a brawl, and Reigns caught Owens with a Superman Punch early on. Likewise, Owens hit a pop-up powerbomb.

Reigns drilled Owens with a Spear at ringside to take control. He then hit Owens with the steel steps. “The Prizefighter” bashed Reigns head against the ThunderDome screens to turn the momentum in his favor. Both men brawled high up in the ThunderDome. Owens wisely attacked Reigns’ knee with a steel chair. But Reigns threw him off the stage and sent the challenger crashing through a table.

Owens crawled to a workout ring backstage, and Reigns ran him over with a golf cart. The challenger got back to his feet, and Reigns angrily unloaded on him. Owens power bombed Reigns onto a table and hit a Frog Splash to send him through it. He then dove off a forklift onto Reigns and sent him crashing through another table. A Spear through the entrance stage gave Reigns some breathing room.

Owens got some handcuffs and chained Reigns to a lighting post while he was lying down. Reigns couldn’t climb to his feet, so he pulled the referee and slammed him into the post. Paul Heyman then uncuffed Reigns. “The Head of the Table” locked in a guillotine hold and choked Owens out. Owens couldn’t stand up, so Reigns won the match and retained his title.

 

Winner: Roman Reigns

TLC Match for the WWE Universal Title: Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns

We go back to the ring and see the area filled with tables, ladders and chairs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is out first with Paul Heyman. Reigns poses on the ramp as the pyro goes off. Reigns enters the ring and more pyro goes off. He hands the title belt to the referee and it’s raised above the ring.

Owens suddenly attacks Reigns as the belt is being raised up. Owens destroys Reigns and sends him to the corner. Owens with a big corner cannonball. Owens brings it to the floor and launches Reigns into the barrier, then delivers another cannonball as fans continue to go wild for him. Owens drops Reigns on the floor again, then hits a big Frogsplash off the apron. Reigns gasps for air.

Owens comes back in but here comes Jey Uso to attack. Owens is ready for hm. The steel ring steps and a chair come into play at ringside. Owens with chair shots to Jey to take him out. Owens with another chair shot to Reigns while he’s down. Jey attacks Owens again but a big chair shot to his foot mid-superkick sends him down. Owens with more chair shots to Jey. Owens places the chair over Jey’s ankle and stomps on it, taking him out.

Owens keeps control until Reigns nails a big Drive By on the apron. Reigns takes the top off the announce table and drives it into Owens while he’s down. We see Jey being helped to the back by officials. Reigns brings half of the steps over and drives them in Owens’ face, twice. Reigns then drives the steps into Owens several times while he’s down. There’s chaos all over the ringside area and Heyman is still shocked at the brutality.

They bring it in and Reigns drives a mini-ladder into Owens. Owens tries to fight back but Reigns keeps driving the ladder into him, even when he’s down. Reigns brings chairs in and keeps using them. Owens tries to swing a chair while he’s down but Reigns drives more chair shots down into him. Owens gets to his feet and they trade shots. Reigns can’t scoop Owens on his shoulders as Owens keeps fighting. Reigns blocks Owens and back-drops him onto two chairs facing each other. Reigns tosses Owens back to the floor. Read more

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns

It’s time for the final non-title champion vs. champion match, and the final RAW vs. SmackDown match of the night, as WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way out for the main event. Paul Heyman is with him. They stop on the stage as the pyro explodes. WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way out next as fans cheer him on. Drew is carrying the same sword he had at RAW, and is wearing the kilt. The pyro goes off before Drew marches to the ring. Drew looks over at Reigns and raises the title as more pyro goes off. Reigns and McIntyre stare each other down in the middle of the ring now. They get closer and raise their titles in the air as fans boo and cheer.

They lock up in the middle of the ring to start. They break after being unable to get an upperhand. They lock up again and trade holds. Reigns goes to the ropes to force the break. Drew laughs at The Tribal Chief. They lock up again and Reigns applies a headlock to take control. Reigns takes Drew down into the headlock. Drew with a headlock of his own. They break and run the ropes. Drew ends up leveling Reigns with a big shoulder.

Reigns goes to the floor to regroup with Heyman as Drew looks on. Drew plays some mind games now as Reigns re-enters. Drew looks for a lock up but Reigns kicks Drew and rocks him with punches into the corner. Reigns takes control and beats Drew up in the corner as the referee warns him. Drew turns it around in the corner and rocks Reigns with big punches. Drew with a big chop. Reigns with a headbutt and more big strikes as Heyman looks on. The referee yells at Reigns but Reigns intimidates him into the corner. Drew takes Reigns back into the corner and does the same, unloads to beat him down.

Reigns comes back and sends Drew to the apron, then runs hm into the ring post. Drew falls down to the floor. The referee counts while Drew is down. Reigns follows and slams Drew face-first into the edge of the apron. Reigns resets the count and whips Drew shoulder-first into the steel ring steps.

Reigns brings it back in the ring and grounds Drew with a headlock. Drew tries to fight up and out but Reigns beats him back down with knee strikes. Drew kicks out at 2 as Reigns shows a bit of frustration. Reigns keeps control and grounds Drew again. Drew tries to get up again but Reigns slings him back to the mat by his hair. Reigns ends up leveling Drew with another big leaping shot but he can’t put Drew away. Reigns grounds McIntyre again. Read more

The 2020 WWE Hell In a Cell Kickoff pre-show opens up from the WWE ThunderDome inside the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Charly Caruso welcomes us. She’s joined on the panel by Peter Rosenberg and three WWE Hall of Famers – Booker T, Jerry Lawler and Jeff Jarrett, making his Kickoff panel debut.

We go backstage to Kayla Braxton and Paul Heyman. She asks about tonight’s “I Quit!” Hell In a Cell match. Heyman tells Kayla to do herself a professional favor and take the hype out of her voice. He goes on about Jey Uso vs. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, staring Kayla down and talking about how Reigns will win. Heyman walks off and we go to a break.

 

“I Quit” Hell In a Cell Match for the WWE Universal Title: Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns

We go to Hell In a Cell as Jey Uso makes his way out for his first-ever singles match inside the structure. Jey is wearing a custom lei tonight. The announcers say the elaborate lei represents family, celebration, the love he has for his cousin, and more. Fans cheer Uso on as he enters the Cell. Out next comes WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns for tonight’s opener, with Paul Heyman right behind him. The boos get louder as Reigns stops on the stage and stares down to the ring. Reigns raises the title as the pyro explodes. Reigns marches down the ramp and stops to look up at the Cell. Cole shows us a clip from Heyman’s brief Kickoff pre-show interview with McKenzie Mitchell, talking about the consequences that Uso will face when he loses. We get formal ring introductions from Greg Hamilton.

The bell rings as Reigns shakes his head at Uso. They size each other up and talk trash, getting louder with each other. They aggressively lock up. Reigns drops Uso with a shoulder block. We go back to the ring for tonight’s main event as Jey Uso makes way out first with a unique entrance. WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way out next. Paul Heyman is right next to him. A shirtless Reigns poses on the stage as the pyro goes off. Reigns gets more pyro after entering the ring. We get formal ring introductions from Hamilton.

They size each other up after the bell. Uso barks at his cousin. They lock up and Reigns overpowers Jey into the corner. The referee counts and they break with a tense staredown. More back and forth as they get a feel for each other. Reigns grabs Jey but he gets free and goes to the floor, continuing the mind games. They talk some trash to each other with Reigns in the ring and Jey on the floor. Jey comes to the apron and Reigns rocks him. Jey fights in the ring and rocks Reigns with two right hands. They run the ropes and Reigns nails a big clothesline for a 2 count.

Reigns uses the middle rope on his cousin while taunting him. The referee counts and Reigns breaks it. Reigns jokes that he should just let Heyman handle this one. Reigns sends Jey into the top turnbuckle. Reigns drops Jey with a big right hand. Reigns continues the trash talking while Jey is down. Reigns pulls Jey’s neck over the top rope as the referee counts again. Reigns with a huge right hand to knock Jey off the apron to the floor. The referee counts while Reigns smirks. Reigns takes his time to follow Jey to the outside. Jey is leaning on the barrier when Reigns grabs him and slams him into the edge of the apron. Jey fights back with a big right hand. Reigns with a right of his own. Reigns continues taking his time and breaks the count.

Reigns slams Jey face-first into the announce table. Reigns brings Jey back into the ring and covers for a 2 count. Reigns with a headbutt and more offense while taking his time. Jey fights back and delivers a kick to the gut, then a right to the face. Jey catches Reigns out of nowhere with a Samoan Drop but Reigns kicks out at 2. Reigns takes his time getting back up and is seen talking to Heyman. Jey waits in the corner and gets hyped up. No Holds Barred Triple Threat for the WWE Universal Title: Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

We go back to the ring for tonight’s No Holds Barred Triple Threat main event as WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt makes his unique entrance first, carrying the head lantern out. Braun Strowman suddenly attacks from behind while the lights are out.

Strowman unloads on The Fiend and hits a big running powerslam for a close 2 count. Fiend is still wearing his entrance gear. Fiend stands up but Strowman rocks him into the corner, unloading with rights and headbutts. Fiend charges and launches himself for a big collision in the middle of the ring. Fiend nails Sister Abigail but Strowman kicks out. Strowman beats Fiend around the ringside area now. Fiend fights back and sends Strowman into the apron. Fiend catches Strowman and puts him through the announce table with the Uranage. Fiend looks around and stares at Strowman as we see Alexa Bliss backstage watching, twirling her hair.

Fiend pulls his huge mallet from under the ring. He drags it over but Strowman throws an announce table chair at him. Fiend goes down. Strowman clubs Fiend, dropping him on top of half of the steel ring steps. There’s still no sign of Roman Reigns or Paul Heyman.

Strowman grabs Fiend’s mallet and approaches but Fiend kicks him. Fiend sends Strowman into the barrier. Strowman stops himself from going over the barrier. Fiend keeps pounding on him. Fiend grabs the mallet and drops Strowman with a big swing to the chest. Fiend screams and laughs while Strowman is down. Strowman starts getting up. Fiend slams him face-first into the steps. Fiend snaps Strowman’s neck while standing on the steps. Strowman goes down at ringside.

Fiend grabs half of the steel steps as Strowman tries to recover. Fiend charges with the steps and Strowman goes back down. Fiend raises his arms in the air and yells out. We see Bliss backstage watching again. Fiend sends Strowman ribs-first into the barrier again. Fiend stomps on Strowman while he’s down on the ramp. Fiend beats Strowman up the ramp to the stage area now. Fiend snaps Strowman’s neck again to put him back down. Read more

Winner and New WWE Universal Champion: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt

– After the match, The Fiend stands tall with the title as the music hits. Fiend is suddenly attacked by someone from behind. It’s the returning Roman Reigns. Reigns takes Fiend out with a Spear. Reigns unloads and then hits a Spear on Strowman at ringside. Reigns yells that he made Strowman and Strowman isn’t a monster unless he’s here. Reigns grabs a steel chair and unloads on Strowman at ringside, over and over with chair shots while he’s down. Reigns returns to the ring and takes Fiend out with another Spear. Reigns picks the title up and talks trash down at The Fiend while he’s on the mat. Reigns raises the Universal Title in the air as SummerSlam goes off the air.
