Backstage, Montez Ford says the Street Profits are going to win back their tag titles Sunday. The Usos have been too busy doing Reigns bidding to be ready for this match. The Usos aren’t Reigns Bloodline, they are just Bloodline Bitches.
From his locker room, Roman Reigns looks utterly confused. Reigns asks Paul Heyman, “What did he say?” Heyman explains Ford called the greatest tag team ever, bitches. Reigns gets serious and says he wants a match with Ford tonight. Heyman reminds Reigns he has a title defense in an extreme rules match against an undefeated demon. Reigns glares at Heyman. Reigns asks Heyman why he’s still standing there. Heyman scurries off.
Montez Ford vs. Roman Reigns
Ford grabs a side headlock. Reigns reverses. Ford sends Reigns into the ropes but Reigns runs over Ford. Ford responds with a dropkick. Reigns falls out of the ring. After the break, Reigns works over Ford. Reigns catches a kick from Ford. Reigns tries to flip Ford but Ford does a backflip and lands on his feet. Ford kicks Reigns out of the ring. Ford tries to dive off the announce table but it collapses. Reigns slams Ford. Ford falls out of the ring after a big lariat from Reigns.
After the break, Ford lands a blockbuster. Ford tries a splash but Reigns rolls out of the way. Ford lands on his feet. Reigns hits a Rock Bottom for a near fall. Reigns calls for the Superman Punch. Ford counters with a DDT for a near fall. Ford sends Reigns out of the ring. PK by Ford. Ford sends Reigns into the ring steps. Ford sends Reigns back into the ring. Ford tries another splash but Reigns gets his knees up. Reigns rolls Ford into the Guillotine. Ford taps out.
Winner- Roman Reigns
Heyman grabs a mic and says that wasn’t enough for Ford’s crimes tonight. Heyman councils Reigns to show Ford and ALL of his challengers what happens when you challenge the Tribal Chief. The Usos hit the ring and set up a table as Reigns assault Ford with a chair in the ring. Reigns Rock Bottoms Ford through a table. The lights go out and the lights come back up red. Bálor appears on the top rope and hits a splash on Reigns and the Usos. Bálor works Reigns over with a kendo stick. Bálor tosses Reigns out of the ring. Bálor lands a dive. Bálor poses over Reigns as he writhes in pain out on the floor.

Reigns tells Knoxville to acknowledge him. The crowd boos. Reigns tells Wiseman (Heyman) to show the WWE Universe how to properly acknowledge their Tribal Chief. Heyman goes on a diatribe about how great Reigns is and how he fears no man, no beast, and no demon. They all fear Roman Reigns. Big E interrupts.
Big E runs around the arena celebrating before entering the ring. Reigns and Big E raise their titles in each other’s faces. Finn Bálor’s music hits. Bálor walks down to the ring. Backstage, Reigns isn’t pleased. Reigns asks Heyman if there is something he needs to tell him. Heyman says there is nothing. Heyman says he knows what Reigns is getting at but he didn’t know Brock Lesnar was going to be at SummerSlam. Heyman says he saw fear in Lesnar’s eyes. Reigns asks if Lesnar would show up at Extreme Rules. Heyman says no. Reigns says he pays Heyman to know in advance.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton surprises Paul Heyman and asks if he knows if Lesnar is aware of the rumors he may be traded to RAW. Heyman says he has no idea what Lesnar knows or wants to do. He doesn’t rep Lesnar and Kayla knows that. Heyman tries to storm off but Big E is standing there. Heyman tells Big E that he made the right choice by choosing the more vulnerable champion to cash in on. Big E says he’ll see Heyman’s boy at Survivor Series. Or will it be Heyman’s other boy, Lesnar? Or will it be the Demon since Heyman is overlooking him? Jimmy Uso superkicks Big E out of nowhere. The Usos beat down Big E. Reigns walks by and doesn’t even look down.

Reigns talks about how the family runs NYC. Reigns is soon interrupted by Brock Lesnar. The WWE Universe goes nuts. The Usos step in front of Lesnar. Lesnar laughs in their faces. Heyman tries to convince Lesnar to go after one of the other titles and they can work together, Lesnar grabs the mic and asks Heyman why he didn’t tell Reigns he was going to be at SummerSlam.

Lesnar explodes with a pair of clotheslines and a German suplex. Reigns and Co runoff.
Backstage, Heyman yells at Kayla Braxton for trying to ask him about what happened. Heyman says Reigns will have a response to the challenge when it’s appropriate.
Backstage, Kayla Braxton magically appears behind Heyman. Heyman almost jumps out of his boots. Kayla asks if Heyman had an answer yet. Heyman says Reigns will answer but it could be a yes or a no. Heyman tries to leave but Big E is standing there. Big E holds up the Money in the Bank briefcase and makes strange Big E noises… Sorry, no idea how else to describe that. continue reading

After the break, Jimmy and Jey are working over Ford. Ford manages to take in Dawkins. Dawkins runs right into a Samoan drop from Jey Usos.
Backstage, Reigns tells Heyman to bring him his cousins. Heyman walks out of Reigns’ locker room and is surprised by Kayla Braxton. As Heyman is speaking his phone rings… the ring tone is Brock Lesnar’s theme. Heyman ignores it. Lesnar calls back again. Heyman gets browbeaten into agreeing to deliver a message. Heyman turns around and runs into a janitor. Heyman tells the janitor if he is taking out the trash he can start with Kayla. The Janitor starts laughing hysterically. The Janitor lifts his head and it’s Big E. Big E laughs as he holds up the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Backstage, Reigns gives Jey and Jimmy marching orders for later tonight. Jimmy and Jey leave. Heyman tells Reigns they have a problem with Brock Lesnar. Reigns says Heyman has a problem, Reigns doesn’t. Heyman tells Reigns that Lesnar will be at SmackDown next week. Reigns thinks Lesnar may be here tonight. continue reading

Heyman tells Kayla that he has to go help Reigns prepare for tonight. Heyman tries to open Reigns locker room door but it’s locked. After the break, Heyman is still trying to get in Reigns’ locker room. The Usos walk out of the locker room. Jimmy tells Heyman that Reigns isn’t here yet. Jey asks Heyman if he knew Lesnar was going to be there at Summerslam. Heyman says no. The Usos question Heyman but Heyman stands his ground.
Backstage, Heyman tries to hand Reigns the Universal Championship. Reigns asks Heyman what he’s supposed to do with that. Heyman says this is a family celebration. Heyman doesn’t expect to be in the ring with the Bloodline tonight. Reigns tells Heyman that he is family and he loves him. Heyman looks like someone just asked him to the prom.

Reigns and the Usos hold up their title as pyro goes off o the stage. Reigns whispers something to Heyman. Heyman says the WWE Universe is in luck tonight, Reigns is going to allow them to take this time to acknowledge him. Reigns tells Heyman something else. Heyman announces that the crowd should also acknowledge the undisputed tag team Champions, The Usos. Finn Bálor inturupts. Bálor says he hasn’t forgotten about Cena snaking him out of a title match. Now everyone wants a shot at Reigns. Bálor says he’s not waiting in line. Bálor wants a title match against Reigns next week on SmackDown. Bálor attacks Reigns. The Usos attack Bálor. The Street Profits hit the ring and make the save. Reigns leaves his cousins in the ring to get decimated. Bálor destroys Jimmy with the Coup de Grâce

John Cena/Roman Reigns Face-to-Face
Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman saunter to the ring. Before Reigns can do anything John Cena’s music hits. Cena runs down to the ring and grabs a mic. The crowd is going nuts. Reigns tries to talk but the crowd drowns him out with boos. Reigns says a lot of people say a lot of stupid things and that’s exactly what Cena did last week. Reigns says he likes that the crowd is excited. It’s great! Reigns says he isn’t going to let Cena lie to the WWE Universe though. Cena thinks he can pin Reigns.
Reigns laughs. Reigns asks Heyman how many times he’s lost. Heyman says no one has EVER beaten THIS Roman Reigns. Cena says he believes the impossible is possible. Cena says Reigns has no idea what he’s in for tomorrow night at SummerSlam. Cena says Reigns doesn’t get it. Cena is going to take the title, go do movies, while Reigns has to sit here as an absolute failure. Cena says it’s just gonna take 1, 2, 3. Cena says it’s been written on the wall, Reigns just can’t see it. Cena isn’t here to promote movies, he’s here to demote Reigns’ ass. At SummerSlam, 1,2,3 means Cena breaks the world championship record when he wins 17. There isn’t going to be a Universal Champion here until WrestleMania because of Reigns.
It’s over for Reigns. Reigns says Cena is the one who doesn’t get it. Reigns says when he gets in the ring and smashes someone WWE no longer has a use for them. Cena is no different. Reigns says SummerSlam is in Vegas, so let’s raise the stakes. Reigns says if he doesn’t retain, he will leave WWE. Cena and Reigns shake hands. Reigns tries a cheap shot but Cena schoolboys Reigns and holds him down for a three count! Cena rolls out of the ring. Reigns looks terrified.

After the break, Reigns tells Cena they should just get to it. Cena says he isn’t going to waste Reigns’ time, but he’s going to embarrass Reigns at SummerSlam. Cena is going to give Reigns a big piece of humble pie when he beats him at SummerSlam. It’s either going to be Team Reigns (most boo) or Team Cena (thunderous applause). Cena says the people have made their choice. Reigns says Cena is just repeating the same old stuff. Cena wants his 17th title will make him the most decorated champion of all time. All he needs to do that is 1,2,3.
Cena says he’s here to help Reigns. Reigns and Heyman laugh Cena off. Reigns says he respects Cena and isn’t going to stoop to what Cena is doing. Reigns puts Cena and his accomplishments over. Reigns calls Cena the best. Reigns is honored to be in the ring with Cena. Reigns says Cena is good enough to win the WWE Championship, but he isn’t good enough to win the Universal Championship. Reigns says 20 plus years of missionary may have been good enough for Cena but it wasn’t good enough for Nikki Bella. Reigns says he’s going to send Cena packing back to Hollywood.

After the break, Reigns tells Bálor that when he steps in this ring, he better keep his name out of his mouth. Reigns tosses the mic at Bálor. Reigns tries to leave but Bálor pushes Reigns out of the ring. Bálor points at Reigns. Jimmy and Jey Uso attack Bálor from behind. Bálor pulls Jimmy in the way of Jey’s splash. Bálor clears the ring. Contract Signing for WWE SummerSlam
Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville are in the ring; Pearce says they want to make sure the contract is signed, sealed and delivered. Reigns and Balor come to the ring. The champion takes his sweet time coming to the ring. Heyman wipes off Reigns’ chair and he slowly sits down. Pearce asks the opponents to read the contract and sign it. Reigns asks for a microphone, and he responds to Cena’s promo. Reigns says he’d “boo” to because Cena was a jerk. The champion says Balor is worthy of facing him and getting a beatdown at SummerSlam.

“The Tribal Chief” says Balor isn’t like Cena; he’s hungry, he wants it, and Reigns digs that. He vows to smash Balor and send him back to NXT. Reigns signs the contract, and Balor says he’d like nothing more than to return to NXT with the Universal Championship. Baron Corbin attacks Balor before he can sign the contract. Corbin grabs the contract and tries to sign it, but Cena stops him. Cena stares down Reigns and signs the contract.
Backstage, Heyman tells Pearce and Deville that the contract signing was great television, but it was a sham because it’s not legally binding. Pearce says he see’s Reigns’ and Cena’s signatures, so that’s good enough for me. They confirm that the title match is official for SummerSlam.

In-Ring Segment: Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman
Reigns tells the crowd and everyone at home to acknowledge him. Reigns adds that John Cena acknowledges him too. Reigns said he thought we would get a new Cena but he was fooled by Hollywood. Cena hasn’t changed. Same music, same jokes, same everything. It’s like missionary position every night. Reigns has no interest in that. Cena is right. Reigns adds that Cena is right, Reigns can’t see him. And no one else will either.
Reigns’ answer is no. Finn Bálor’s music hits. Reigns looks confused. Bálor gets in the ring. Reigns says Heyman just said Bálor is out here to “do like Cena” and acknowledge him. Bálor says that’s not why he’s here but if Reigns doesn’t accept Cena’s challenge, maybe he’ll accept Bálor’s challenge. Reigns chuckles. Heyman whispers to Reigns. A “Roman’s Scared” chant breaks out. Reigns accepts.

Mysterio tags himself in and hits a senton on Jey. Mysterio sets up a 619. Reigns blocks it and pulls Mysterio out of the ring. Edge Spears Reigns outside the ring. Jey pins Mysterio after Jimmy superkicks Mysterio behind the referee’s back.

After the match, Jey attacker Mysterio. Edge hits the ring with a chair. Reigns Superman Punch by Reigns. Reigns breaks a chair and has one of the exposed legs. Before Reigns can do anything, Edge Spears Reigns. Edge puts Reigns in the crossface using the broken chair piece. Reigns taps out.
