Orlando, Florida – Amway Center

We go to the ring for tonight’s Survivor Series contract signing as new WWE Champion Drew McIntyre makes his way out to a pop.

Back from the break and McIntyre is sitting at the table in the ring. The music of WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns hits next but he’s nowhere to be seen. After a minute or so later, here comes The Tribal Chief with Paul Heyman right behind him. Fans boo and Drew looks on from the ring as the pyro goes off on the stage.

Reigns takes his time getting to the ring. He takes a seat and just stares at Drew, smirking. Adam Pearce oversees things. Reigns tells Drew he knew he could pull the win off, Heyman didn’t. Reigns knew he could pull it off because he’s been in Drew’s shoes. Reigns goes on and Drew knows he’s trying to get in his head, provoke him to flipping the table over and going off, but that’s not going to happen. Drew says he’s going to get to the point. Reigns told him to go get himself a title and he did, but not for Reigns, for himself. Drew ends up signing the contract and fans cheer him on.

Drew hands the contract over to Reigns, telling him it’s his turn, his show, and his move. Drew asks Reigns to please underestimate him. He advises Reigns to use these last two days of peace to prepare for war. Reigns smirks and goes to ink the contract but stops and can’t believe Drew would try to give him advise. Reigns says Heyman advises him. Reigns is going to give Drew the advice and let him sit under the learning tree. Reigns says Drew isn’t going to like where he’s going on Sunday and he won’t understand the brutal truth but one day he will understand he’s a secondary title holder, a prop, a stand-in. Fans boo Reigns now. He goes on taking shots at Drew for being the champion they use when Reigns is busy. Reigns says he’s “THE” champion, the face of WWE, Drew’s Tribal Chief and the head of the table. Reigns says one day Drew will have the chance to be the man, the face of the company and when he does, he will look back at these nights and thank Reigns, and love him for the time he’s allowed him and the lessons.

Reigns goes on and finally signs the contract, then tells Drew that he will always be his favorite #2. The boos get louder as Reigns stands up with his title. Drew is still seated. A “you suck!” chant starts up as Reigns’ music starts. Drew stands up at the table and Reigns makes his exit with Heyman. Drew’s music now starts up as he stares at Reigns making his way to the back.

Orlando, Florida – Amway Center

WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman.

Roman asks Paul what do you call this place? The Island of Relativity? Paul says it is because you make it relevant. The numbers don’t lie. You can look at it in the flesh. Look at my cousin Jey Uso. Before, you didn’t which twin was which, but now he is main event Jey Uso. Look at the last two weeks. Two weeks ago, he beat Daniel Bryan. Last week, he destroyed Kevin Owens. He will lead his team to victory at Survivor Series. I will establish my dominance and I will beat WWE’s secondary champion Randy Orton.

When you think about Randy Orton, which I don’t, he is the person whose accomplishments you can respect, but not respect the man himself.

Drew McIntyre’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring while Paul has a shocked look on his face.

Drew says it has been a minute.  He asks Paul if he misses him.  Drew says he was passing through town and he knows how valuable Roman’s time is.  He says he heard Roman talking about Randy Orton.  You won’t be meeting Randy at Survivor Series.  I am beating Randy Orton at Raw and it will be you versus me at Survivor Series.  A lot has changed since the last time we were in the ring together.  I was eliminating you at the Royal Rumble the last time we were in the ring together.

Do you remember what happened since then?  I made your client my bitch in five minutes at Wrestlemania.  Do you remember Wrestlemania?  No, you weren’t there.  You left us and the fans high and dry.  Someone had to stand up and that someone was Drew McIntyre.  Drew says it was a priviliege to be on top.  You consider it a rite, while I consider it an honor.  I am the man and I will prove it at Survivor Series.

Roman tells Drew he likes him and he respects what Drew said.  Roman says he is back now and ever since I came back, nobody knows who you are.  I don’t watch Raw.  It is all good.  Nobody watches Raw because everyone watches Smackdown.  They all want to watch me.  Now that you have failed your audition here, tell us who is Drew McIntyre. Orlando, Florida – Amway Center

Kayla Braxton is backstage with Jey Uso for an interview. Paul Heyman appears. He asks if Reigns authorized this interview but that was a rhetorical question. Reigns did not authorize this interview. Heyman tells Uso that Reigns wants to see him. Kayla comments on Reigns and Jey, saying Heyman has a better spot in the family than Jey, but Jey doesn’t like what she has to say, for the second time in this interview. Jey asks her if she’s still throwing shade. He repeats himself. Heyman tells Uso to not keep Reigns waiting. They walk off together with Jey staring down at Kayla.

Jey Uso is with Paul Heyman outside of Roman Reigns’ locker room. Heyman says he really respects what Uso is trying to do but if he’s going to do something like that, he needs to run it by Reigns first. Uso can’t believe he has to get permission from his cousin to do an interview on TV. Heyman confirms. Jey says let’s go talk to him then. Heyman tells Jey to stay here, in the hallway, and he will go check with Reigns and come back. Heyman walks in and Uso waits. Reigns comes back out and asks Uso why he’s talking to Kayla, trying to tell his story or something? Uso says he was just giving an interview. Reigns says there’s a chain of command. Uso has to come to him first and if he can’t find him, go to Heyman next. Reigns asks what’s going on with Kevin Owens. Uso says he was just making bad jokes. Read more

Uso and Reigns face off in the ring now. Heyman takes the mic and begins to speak but Jey snatches the mic from him. Jey gets emotional as he goes on about how Reigns isn’t that type of person, Reigns didn’t beat him. Reigns says Uso can make any excuse he wants but Reigns warned he would make Jey quit, and he quit. The boos get louder. Reigns tells Uso to take the oath, accept the membership, and fall in line. Jey says that was a snake move Reigns did. Just like they were kids, Reigns always one-upping him. Uso says he cannot get down with Reigns, he can’t respect him. The title has Reigns tripping, Jey says.

Jey says Reigns used the only person in the world he would quit for, brother Jimmy Uso. Jey says Reigns knew exactly what he was doing and Reigns agrees. Reigns tells Heyman that Jey still doesn’t understand. These are the things you have to do to keep the title, to be the face of WWE. The boos get louder. Reigns says the consequences are real. He mentions WWE Hall of Famers The Wild Samoans being on the stage on Sunday. Reigns says the whole family endorses him. Reigns gets more in Jey’s face now and taunts him, asking what he’s going to do. Jey says he hates Reigns. Why do you have to do me like this? I hate you, man. Reigns says he’s sure Jey does hate him right now, but Reigns loves Jey and has always loved him. Reigns says by the end of the night, Jey will fall in line.

Reigns drops the mic as Jey doubles over, crying. The boos get louder. Reigns exits the ring as Heyman watches from near the barrier. Reigns’ music hits and he stops to look back at Jey in the ring. The Tribal Chief marches up the ramp with the title thrown over his shoulder. Jey stares him down now. Reigns stops on the ramp and looks ahead, says something to Heyman. They nod and Reigns keeps walking to the back. Read more

“I Quit” Hell In a Cell Match for the WWE Universal Title: Jey Uso vs. Roman Reigns

We go to Hell In a Cell as Jey Uso makes his way out for his first-ever singles match inside the structure. Jey is wearing a custom lei tonight. The announcers say the elaborate lei represents family, celebration, the love he has for his cousin, and more. Fans cheer Uso on as he enters the Cell. Orlando, Florida – Amway Center

Reigns enters the ring and raises the title in the air as the boos get louder. Before Reigns can speak, Jey appears on the big screen. He’s backstage in Reigns’ VIP suite. Uso taunts The Tribal Chief and says Reigns has changed. He’s got his head so far up his Tribal Chief ass, he’s lost connections with himself and their family. Uso takes off his bandana and hat, and says don’t ask me… ask my brother, Jey. This was Jimmy Uso on the big screen all along. Jimmy reveals that Jey is right behind Reigns.

Jey unloads on Reigns as the crowd pops. Jey goes to swing a steel chair but Reigns drop him with a big boot. Reigns goes to use the chair now but Jey superkicks him down. Jey goes to the top rope and hits a big Uso splash. Jey is fired up as he exits the ring, yelling at Reigns while he’s down. Jey hits the stage to stand tall as his music hits. Jimmy comes out to join him as fans cheer them on. Heyman is in the ring now as Reigns gets back to his feet.

Reigns takes the mic and says this is funny to The Usos. He says if he’s forced to quit on Sunday, he’s not the Universal Champion, not the face of WWE, not the head of the table, not the Tribal Chief, not the provider for generations of their bloodline. If Uso can make Reigns quit, he can live with that but the question is… can Uso? Reigns asks if when he makes Jey quit, and he will make him quit, he will fall in line, take orders, acknowledge Reigns, respect him for who he is in WWE, and all that he does for their family. Reigns says if Uso can’t, then he’s just out. Not just Jey, his brother Jimmy too. Their wives, their children, their children’s children, they’re all out of the Anoa’i family. Reigns says they will all turn their backs on The Usos. Those are the consequences for Sunday. The boos get louder now. Heyman hands Reigns the title and he places it over his shoulder as the music starts up. The Usos are furious, looking back from the stage.

The Hell In a Cell structure starts lowering around Reigns in the ring now. The Usos come marching down the ramp. Jey climbs the Cell as Reigns looks on from the inside. Jey stares down at Reigns from the side of the Cell. Reigns holds the title up at him. They yell at each other as the Hell In a Cell go-home edition of SmackDown goes off the air.
